Contakids International Teachers Training
Dordogne (France)- November 19-25, 2023
More info
“So many different layers of me were touched, explored and hilled. I allowed my inner child to be seen & heard, and now I go back to being loved & accepted. I Reclaim the right to be funny, spontaneous & free. This training allowed that. It feels amazing to drop the seriousness and own the light (Sundari Lys, Portugal)”
“This training helped me realize exactly what I need to do: work with parents & children at an early stage in life, and help them find an easier, more joyful way to go through life. Working with the ground gave me exactly what I lacked technically (Angelic Gomard, Denmark)” “Being here taught me to be with myself. Every child has a story, and respecting those different stories, while allowing people to just be, reminded me as a parent, that we are also children. ContaKids is going to hill the world. (Estelle Delnard, France)” |

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Are children involved during the course?
A: It is an intensive 7 days course including theoretical classes, open discussions and simulations. That demands a full concentration and presence of each participant. For that reason the training is for adults only. There will be two demonstration classes with local parents & their children. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in class simulations with other participants, not with real children.
Q: Can I bring my children?
A: If participants would like to bring their children it is important that children stay with another parent or carer during the training hours. It is very important that all participants be relaxed and focused during the course. See also previous answer.
Q: Can my children take part in the Contakids open demonstrations classes?
A: Yes of course, but only if there is an adult to share the activities with them (another carer).
Q: Do I need to be a parent if I want to work with Contakids?
A: Definitely not! :). You can be a great ck teacher if you are a parent as well as if you are not!
Q: What is the target age for children taking part in Contakids courses?
A: Children aged between 2 to 5 years old. During the course we explain the reason for choosing this specific target. The tools and exercises used during the course are thought for children aged 2-4 but part of the basic principles we will be investigating during discussions and simulations can apply for a variety of age groups and might be rethought by participants for other targets (for eg. children with a variety of problems, or families from difficult social backgrounds).
Q: Can you come to my country to give a training course?
A: if you are interested in organizing a local teacher training in your country - please contact us at [email protected]. Please note that the most important issues are: finding an adequate space to host approximately 25 participants for a week, and someone in charge of all of the organization on site (logistics, food, etc.) - all done through coordination with us.

Parents' feedbacks on Contakids
Since Ben's sister was born, there was this natural division of 'Ben is on father' and 'Daniela is on mother'. The ContaKids classes allow Ben and I mutual time together, in which he can be more 'on mother' and it affects very much our physicality at home, and that's great! Roni always loved to climb on me and we used to play around in many way. Now, after the course, I feel that I rely on hey more when she's high on me, I feel I'm less 'worried' about her. I also discovered a new side in Roni which wasn't familiar for me before. She's very open in the class, she is freer in a way which is not 'like' her… |
